Silicone Facial Cleansing Pad

Our team designed and developed a silicone facial cleansing pad for EKSFOLY, creating a user-friendly personal care product that enhances daily skincare routines through gentle cleansing and exfoliation. The project focused on combining ergonomic design, effective skin-contact features, and manufacturability using silicone compression moulding processes.
The design process began with the development of a flexible silicone pad intended for use alongside facial cleansers and skincare products. The objective was to create a product that would assist users in achieving a deeper cleanse while remaining gentle enough for regular use on sensitive facial skin. Particular attention was given to comfort, ease of handling, and overall user experience.
A key feature of the design is the integrated ergonomic handle, which provides a secure and comfortable grip during use. This allows users to easily control the cleansing pad while applying consistent pressure across different areas of the face. The silicone surface incorporates carefully designed micro-bristle patterns that help massage the skin, remove impurities, and promote gentle exfoliation without causing irritation.
The bristle geometry was specifically engineered to address different facial contours and cleansing requirements. Larger bristle areas provide effective exfoliation and cleansing across broader regions of the face, while finer, closely spaced bristles enable users to clean more delicate and difficult-to-reach areas around the nose and eyes. The flexible silicone construction further enhances comfort by allowing the pad to conform naturally to facial contours.
The result is a durable, hygienic, and easy-to-use facial cleansing tool that supports effective skincare and daily cleansing routines.
