Beefeater 1500 Series BB
Project Details:
Our team collaborated with the Electrolux design team to explore innovative concepts for the Beefeater 1500 Series BBQ range. The project focused on enhancing the outdoor cooking experience through thoughtful design, multifunctionality, and premium aesthetics while reinforcing the Beefeater brand’s reputation for quality and innovation.
The design process began with the development of a range of concept sketches that investigated new approaches to usability, storage, and food preparation. Working closely with the Electrolux team, we explored a variety of solutions aimed at improving the interaction between the user and the barbecue while creating distinctive visual features that would differentiate the product within the market.
Following concept selection, we further developed the preferred design, which centred around a multifunctional timber front panel integrated into the control area of the BBQ. When closed, the panel conceals the control knobs, creating a clean and refined appearance. When opened, it transforms into a practical preparation surface that serves as a workbench, cutting board, and bottle holder, providing additional functionality without increasing the overall footprint of the appliance.
A key aspect of the design was ensuring that the folding panel mechanism was intuitive, durable, and seamlessly integrated into the overall product architecture. The solution combined practicality with premium materials, delivering a feature that enhances both the visual appeal and usability of the barbecue.
The result is an innovative BBQ concept that combines elegant design with multifunctional utility. By transforming a protective cover into a versatile food preparation and entertaining surface, the Beefeater 1500 Series concept delivers a more engaging and convenient outdoor cooking experience while strengthening the product’s premium market positioning.
