IOT Power Management Case
Project Details:
Our team developed a custom enclosure solution for Evergreen Power Solutions’ IoT power management device, creating a production-ready system that integrated electronic hardware, user interface elements, and branding into a compact and functional package. The project focused on adapting an existing enclosure platform to accommodate specialised electronics while supporting rapid deployment and cost-effective production.
The development process began with the selection and evaluation of an off-the-shelf project enclosure, which was modified to suit the specific requirements of the device. Working closely with local electronics engineers responsible for the PCB design, we developed the mechanical architecture required to securely integrate two electronic circuit boards and associated assembly components within the enclosure.
A key feature of the product was the incorporation of custom-designed light pipes that transferred status indications from internal LEDs to the external user interface. These components were carefully engineered to ensure clear visibility and reliable performance while maintaining a clean and professional appearance. The enclosure modifications were produced using CNC machining and supported by rapid prototyping through 3D printing during the development phase.
In addition to the mechanical design, we developed the external decal graphics, ensuring that user information, branding, and status indicators aligned precisely with the integrated electronics and light pipe features. Particular attention was given to assembly efficiency, serviceability, and consistency across production units.
Following design finalisation, we managed the production of the modified enclosures, coordinated the manufacture of custom components, and completed pre-assembly of the light pipes and decals. This streamlined approach enabled the devices to be prepared for efficient field deployment while maintaining quality and consistency throughout the production process.
The result is a practical and professionally finished IoT power management device that combines effective electronic integration, clear user communication, and efficient manufacturing. The final solution provided Evergreen Power Solutions with a reliable, deployment-ready product that supported the requirements of their connected power management platform.
