FLASH REFLECTOR
Project Details:
Our team designed and developed a universal flash reflector accessory compatible with a range of existing camera flash units from major manufacturers, including Sony and Canon. The project focused on creating a practical, user-friendly solution for photographers while ensuring suitability for low-volume production.
The design process began with the evaluation of a discontinued product that addressed a similar application. We redesigned and refined the product to improve functionality, usability, and manufacturability. The final design was fully detailed and prepared for prototyping using CNC machining and 3D printing processes.
A key feature of the reflector is its universal attachment system, which uses an adjustable rubber band to securely mount the accessory to various flash units without requiring modifications or dedicated adapters. The reflector is connected to the mounting system via an integrated hinge mechanism, allowing users to quickly adjust and control the reflector angle to achieve the desired lighting effect.
The result is a versatile, durable, and manufacturable flash reflector that offers photographers enhanced lighting control while remaining compatible with a wide range of camera flash systems.
