IDsquared offers its Venture Capital clients a number of services.  The most extensive of these is the full management of Non-Executive Director and Chairman relationships for a VC or corporate finance house.  The intention of this is to ensure that the right Non-Executive Directors are placed into new transactions and portfolio businesses.  This is best achieved by ensuring that information about good Non-Executive Directors is available at the right time and it is not buried among hundreds of CVs spread around the company. 

We recommend creating two-groups of Non-Executive Directors and treating them quite differently.  The first contains those individuals who stand out as having real skills and expertise to bring to your businesses and with whom you would like to work.  The second contains those who you may like to remain in contact with but don’t necessarily expect to work with.

For the first group, we offer:

• targetted events (which we design to match your strategic interest in sectors and regions),
• regular co-branded hard copy and e-mail newsletters,
• reports to your team on the NEDs’ activity, and
• a frequently updated directory of profiles (including summary statistics)

For the second group we offer:

• occasional events designed to raise your profile and
• regular co-branded e-mail newsletters

Most importantly, when you need to fill a position, whether it be in a new investment or a portfolio company, we look to both groups and to everybody else we know to produce a shortlist of appropriate candidates.  We can even handle all new enquiries which come to you and completely relieve the burden of dealing with potential Non-Executive Directors and Chairmen while building your profile in the market and strengthening your relationships all round.
